TTG has been named as a Midlands regional finalist in HSBC's Global Connections Awards 2014. The UK leader in critical communications technology has been recognised for its overseas trade and expansion.
The awards programme brings together the best of British enterprise looking to develop their business overseas. Companies selected as finalists have been drawn from a wide range of sectors, but all demonstrate innovative ideas and bold ambitions to expand and develop across new global geographies.
Commenting on their successful nomination as a finalist, Mike Norfield TTG CEO said: “We’ve ramped up our export focus since going through a management team buy-out in 2010. Our most recent figures put our non UK trade at 53% of our annual turnover – a great achievement so far, however we still have very aggressive plans for further overseas expansion.
“We know that our technologies are best in class and we regularly win business when pitched up against the biggest blue chip competitors in our field. By opening up new regional offices and expanding our footprint, we are confident that our global operations will continue to grow. Being recognised by HSBC for our work so far is a real boost and affirms that we are helping to develop the UK as a provider of leading global products and services.”
The Midlands winners will be announced in June, with a national final taking place later in the year. Finalists have the opportunity to win up to £6m in lending, visit Turkey as part of an international delegation and network with like-minded leaders and new business contacts.
