TTG company, Simoco Group, has announced it is a key sponsor of FCS Business Radio 2014, the UK's leading business radio conference, which takes place at the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwick on 13th November. The global mobile radio provider will also demonstrate its Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) products to the hundreds of guests working in professional radio.
The exhibition and social event, organised by the Federation of Communication Services (FCS), will give Simoco, and other big players in the market, the opportunity to meet radio professionals and share ideas and experiences with colleagues, suppliers and industry peers. With communications infrastructure increasingly driving the government’s wider policies for strengthening global competitiveness and encouraging the industries of tomorrow, the event also promises to encourage debates from FCS members on the specific issues related to them and their customers.
“FCS Business Radio 2014 brings together the most influential radio communications professionals in the UK,” said Ian Carr, CEO at Simoco Group. “Our attendance at the event marks an exciting time for Simoco as we invest in raising our profile across the UK. Radio communications underpin the majority of core services that consumers and businesses benefit from today such as utilities, transport and public safety. This event is the ideal platform to reach FCS members and show them our latest products.”
Most recently in the UK, Croydon Council enlisted Simoco to upgrade its mobile radio system to digital to help those operating on the ground in various services across the borough – and consequently improve the safety and experience of people in Croydon. Simoco also implemented a £5 million critical communications network for Western Power Distribution, which delivers electricity to over 7.8 million customers, across the South West, South Wales and Midlands.
Top level speakers at FCS Business Radio including Andy Grimmett, Simoco’s Head of Product Strategy and Chair of the DMRA, will be providing their perspectives on how the market's developing. In particular, Andy will highlight the importance of interoperability and developing open standards in a fast paced and diverse industry.
FCS represents the interests of radio industry professionals and provides a common voice to discuss matters of spectrum licensing and industry best practice. As the voice of the business radio community for over 32 years, FCS organises FCS Business Radio every year. Visitors to the Simoco booth at this year’s event will see how the company’s DMR system is a cost-effective solution in mission critical professional radio environments and how its DMR range offers reliable and secure communications in conventional and trunked architectures.
